The State Law Library and the Office of Judicial Education in the Director of State Courts Office partnered to create an all-digital version of the official WI jury instructions available for free to anyone with an internet connection. The new platform went live in February 2021 at https://wilawlibrary.gov/jury/.
Carol Hassler, librarian and website developer at the State Law Library worked with Bryce Pierson, legal advisor at the Office of Judicial Education, to develop the site.
“The resource was designed to be user friendly for not only lawyers and judges but also laypeople, including self-represented litigants, removing daunting barriers to access and allowing for faster updates and greater search efficiency. Instructions, along with footnotes and commentary, can be accessed on a computer, smartphone, or tablet.”
